4.52 kms in mindspace, Winter has well and truly set in Mumbai. Had to wear a muffler to cover the ears as the back road into which i run, gets truly cold. I mean cold by Mumbai standards not by northern hemisphere standards.

8.32 kms in mindspace

8.32 kms in mindspace, Mumbai. Weather has definitely turned for the better. Gyms have been allowed to open in Mumbai with 50% occupancy. Gyms have been reeling from losses for the last six months and many gym owners and coaches have gone into despair and depression. But my gut feeling is that gyms will recoup their losses sooner than most, because of the overwhelming feeling to get fit and healthy and build immunity amongst people due to the covid. They might see a surge in their membership in no time.

CSR funds for Covid

MCA has issued a notification dated 23/3/2020 that spending of CSR funds for Covid is eligible CSR activity. They have said that funds may be spent for various activities relating to Covid 19 under item nos. (i) and (xii) of schedule VII pertaining to CSR activities. These items pertain to promotion of health care, including preventive health care and sanitation and disaster management. Further they have reiterated that items in Schedule VII are broad based and may be interpreted liberally for this purpose.

This was a much needed move by the government, which will prod companies into spending for Covid disaster management activities.

The MCA circular is available at MCA site.
